As a recent transplant from the Northeast, Hanna relocated to Utah to pursue opportunities in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and to enjoy outdoor adventures. She holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. During her time at Hobart, she conducted research in the Finger Lakes National Forest (FLNF), collecting and analyzing data on forest and stream salamanders. After graduation, she obtained a GIS and Data Visualization certificate from the University of Vermont. Her passion for GIS and creative problem-solving will be an asset to the Burgex team as they solve the challenges of mining. In her free time, Hanna enjoys hiking, skiing, and trail running.
