Message From The CEO:โฏOur Whyย
Dear Valued Clients,
Why are we in the business of solving mining challenges? I recently posed this question to my team during our last quarterly meeting. When we first started Burgex 14 years ago, our answer was very different and somewhat self-serving. However, over the last several years, we’ve transformed from a lifestyle company into a firm dedicated to serving the mining industry in any capacity we can.
We’ve shifted from a self-focused mindset to one that prioritizes adding massive value to our teammates and clients. When I asked my team this question, their answer reflected that transformation: we are here to help our clients solve their challenges. As the boots on the ground, we see their projects firsthand and continuously seek ways to deliver the most value possible.
Weโre asking more questions about each project, fact-checking, and challenging assumptions. As a service provider, weโre uniquely positioned to provide multi-level clarity to our clients, and itโs our responsibility to do just that. This commitment is also why we are involved in numerous industry associationsโso we stay informed about whatโs happening in the sector and can offer our support.
At the end of the day, weโre not just a service provider for the mining industry; weโre advocates for mining. After all, if it can’t be grown, it must be mined!

When our law firm needed to rapidly assimilate complex information regarding a mining transaction affecting an institutional client, we reached out to Burgex with what was admittedly an extremely limited understanding of the industry…and unclear as to what we specifically needed from them.
Bill Schnieders and Nick Procter were immediately responsive. On our first call, Bill listened to our situation and carefully ascertained the issues we needed to clarify. Shortly thereafter, Nick joined in, further fine-tuning the questions we needed answered and explaining the steps necessary to get there. Their collaborative efforts resulted in our ability to rapidly clarify what we needed to understand and as a result we are now able to better advise our client.
